hi, i'm simran ✿
developer by training. mom — the prayed-for, waited-for kind. currently — quietly — finding my way back to myself.
↳ a little note for you ✿
hi, friend.
i'm so glad you found your way here.
if today's been long, your coffee's gone cold, or you're up at 3am — with a sleeping baby on your chest, or for no reason at all — pull up a chair. read slowly. take what helps, leave the rest.
this little corner of the internet is for you, too.
with so much love, s ✿
the season i'm in
back at the keyboard, with a tiny human napping nearby.
eighteen months ago i became someone's whole world. it cracked me open in the best way — and the messiest. now i'm tiptoeing back into the parts of me that aren't just mom: the developer, the friend, the person who reads things and has opinions about them.
this little corner of the internet is where i'm keeping notes on all of it. nothing polished. just me, finding my way back to myself, one nap-time at a time.
what i'm into right now
small things, slowly.
building
a few little side projects that fit inside a 90-minute nap window. (proof that productivity has a new shape now.)
reading
bits and pieces — currently matrescence by lucy jones. tell me what's on your shelf?
listening
soft mornings, loud afternoons. a slow playlist that mostly survives the toddler-music takeover.
learning
that rest is a skill. that asking for help is a skill. that "i don't know yet" is a complete sentence.
my lists ✿
little collections i'm keeping.
for myself, and for friends who've asked.
the baby stuff list
things i'd actually recommend to a friend — 18 months of trial, error and real use.
first foods (6 months)
starting solids, gently — what to try, allergens to introduce early, tools that helped, what to skip.
the 4-8 month packing list
the exact list i pack when travelling with aru. with checkboxes that remember what you've packed.
packing for india
long flights, hot weather, mosquitoes — the list i wish i'd had on our first trip.
calmer songs
less-stimulating music for sleep, slow play, the car — the opposite of baby shark world.
gurbani we listen to
kirtan, shabads and sakhis we play at home so aru grows up hearing the rhythms of my culture.
a soft corner ✿
for the girl who's struggling.
if you're carrying something heavy today — or any day — there's a little page just for you. gentle words, real resources, a way to reach me.
🤍for you, if today feels heavy
a soft corner of the internet — crisis lines, a note from me, and a door that's always open.
say hi
thanks for stopping by.
if you found this from instagram — hi, hello, i love that you're here. drop into my dms anytime. i mean it.
with love, s ✿
